Dave Bates has been a cabaret Singer for about 15 years appearing all over the south of England. He has performed at Holiday parks, Nightclubs, Casinos, Hotels and many other venues, including the old Wembley Arena whilst also appearing on X-Factor.
Dave who lives in Essex, England, made his first appearance at the Circus Tavern, Purfleet, Essex on valentines day back in 1996. The Circus Tavern was once the most popular Cabaret venue in the South East of England, which featured entertainment stars from the likes of Freddie Starr, Jim Davidson to great singers like Frankie Laine, Shirley Bassey and the lady of all ladies Ella Fitzgerald.
Dave has also worked with Michael Barrymore, Jane McDonald, Tom O'conner and many more television personalities in the 15 years of performing.
One of Daves personal greatest moments came at the Circus Tavern, when with a full band backing him Dave performed the Neil Diamond hit America from the film The Jazz Singer.
Dave's natural voice is very close to the great sound of Neil Diamond so Dave sings many songs of this great artist in his cabaret stage show. He also sings songs by Barry Manilow, Joe Longthorne, Kenny Rogers and many more big names, however its his tribute to the King that he perfers (Dave is keen to stress that he isn't an impersonator, his show is a great tribute to the one and only King of rock and roll Elvis Presley).
As well as Dave's singing acts, he is also has been a fully equipped disc jockey for the past 26 years, with all the music, decks and lighting. Dave loves playing at weddings as his love for 60s, 70s and rock & roll still to this day go down like a storm.
